A beautiful day downtown with Saloni and Sunil
It was a great way to start the new year. My husband Sunil, Saloni and I decided to spend a day downtown. We first visited the MOSH Museum, then had a wonderful lunch at the Landing and finally went for a walk around Friendship Fountain above. With the temperatures ranging from 40-80 degrees, this has been an unusual winter for us Southerners. But we know just when to throw on a sweater just as quick as we can put on a hat and hit a few golf balls.
We have many changes happening in our company and if this is your first acquaintance to our monthly newsletter, then we can't wait to get to know you better!
New Retail Location
Fine Flowers, San Marco
Sunisha Designs is "blooming" with joy on this latest venture. We now have our very own retail location in the sweet neighborhood of San Marco. Located inside Fine Flowers, this store is a beautiful flower shop and gift boutique in one! Come see us and our new spring products M-F from 10am - 5pm and SA from 10am - 4pm. If you'd like to make an appt. for a custom order, kindly call us at 708-2656 so that we can bring our range of fabrics to the store. We will happily honor those of you who would still like to visit our home studio.
The store address is 3915 Hendricks Ave. just next to The Cake Shop.
New Product News
New Circle of Blooms Handbag $40
Spring is in the air here as we dust our shelves and put away the golds, browns and olive greens of fall. Our new "Circle of Blooms" purse is oh so cute! With a roomy long round shape and zipper top, you can take it from a lunch with friends to a weekend jaunt with the kids. With all the straight lines in our handbags, it was time to introduce some curves!
New Royal Skribbles Monogrammed Cards $35 for 5
Monogramming looks lovely on pillows and napkins and of course on handbags. But did you know you can monogramm cards? Available ONLY at Sunisha Designs is the new Royal Skribbles collection of personalized cards. Choose your script style and your background fabric and within three to four weeks, you'll receive your beautifully monogrammed cards.
Calendar of Events
We were tickled pink when the Shugar Shack asked us to join them on the First Wednesday Art Walk for an evening of wine tasting, sumptuous chocolates and art galore! Join us on February 7th as downtown Jacksonville gets ready for you to meet local artists and mingle with your neighbors as you stroll the streets with music in the air and food everywhere. Website Changes
- Well friends, we tried. We really wanted to offer you a complete line of swatches so that you could choose your fabrics online and custom design a product. But the funny thing is, you all still came over to see us anyway! So, we've decided to do away with the Custom Swatch Gallery and instead spend more time finding fabulous fabrics!
- So, has the pink tickled you yet? Perhaps being surrounded by flowers has gotten us in the pink of things. We hope you like the new look of our site - we are working on a site map. Many of the site's features and information is tucked into corners that are hard for you to find so please let us know how we can help you better navigate the site.
On A Personal Note
I've read many times among the 21 magazines I subscribe to each month that small changes can lead to a big impact. Quite often , a positive one. So, I made a change I had hesitated to make mostly for sentimental reasons. I finally moved my old college CD clock radio clunker from my nightstand to a reading table by the window. The neon clock light always kept me up and in it's replacement, I placed a lovely antique mirror my friend Michelle gave me. It added instant feminity and now I take a moment to smile at the mirror and remind myself that keeping time doesn't mean having to stare at it. The other change I made is doing away with our oversized coffee mugs. I was inspired by the hospitality my friend Eva, Saloni's favorite Greek "grandmother" graces me with each time I see her. I savor every sip of coffee in her divine teacups. They're dainty and old fashioned and the coffee tastes richer - most likely because it's not lost in an 8oz bowl-sized mug. I could go on and on about the other small changes I made, but while I'm typing this, one of my "small" changes was to limit computer time and enjoy more sunshine. Golf anyone?
